Works well, but...Oct 16, 2009 The scrubber works as advertised. However, the design in how the handle holds the pads is not the best. Because of the design the pads can't be flipped over easily without getting messy. This isn't a huge con, but it should be noted.

Tool Wizard Grill Brush is rated #1 by Cooks IllustratedSep 22, 2009 All of these negative and 'bogus' posts are from the inventor who is trying to pull sales to his own competing product which is double the cost and has 5% of the sales volume.
These scrubbers were the ones most recently tested by Cooks Illustrated and were rated HIGHER than the inventors smaller double scrubs as the larger scrubber is more effective and lasts longer. The brush itself is essentially the same except for plastic handle (which is dishwasher safe) vs. wood handle (which ages quickly outdoors) and the plastic handle version costs only [...] on the inventors site. These posts by the inventor are the scam! He has granted Barr Brothers the right to produce and sell the brush and receives royalty payments. Dont be fooled by a con artist!

Great Brush, Below Par ScrubbiesJul 13, 2009 I use my grill A LOT, and I also purchased this brush based on the America's Test Kitchen review because I was tired of the brass bristle brushes not cleaning well and the little bristles sticking in my fingers when I cleaned the inside of my grill.
The brush itself is great; the angle of contact on the grill grates is perfect for cleaning...it hopefully will last a long time. The brush does do a better cleaning job, however, the scrubbies are "Tool Wizard", not "Grill Wizard", and they come apart after 20-25 cleanings.

Lots of misinformation in the negative reviewsJun 15, 2009 I was hesitant to order the Barr Brothers offering given the Grill Wizard inventor/originator's claims in some of the discussions on these customer reviews (e.g. inferior quality, intellectual property theft, etc.) But I really needed to replace my tired old bristle brush and didn't trust the crude online ordering at grillwizard.com, so I pulled the trigger, unsure about what I'd get.
I am so glad that I did: the initial quality in my first couple of weeks with this brush seems great. I really can't foresee how a solid plastic handle and scrub holder (which is simply two metal posts on a hinge attached to the handle) is ever going to fail, assuming proper care and use. In fact, not sure why the wood-handled "original" would be superior, especially if you keep yours outside in a moist climate (like I do).
As for the effectiveness of this design, it's the best I've seen. My grill surface hasn't been this clean in years. Not sure why people would ever buy a bristle brush with this option in the marketplace.

Buyer BewareJun 08, 2009 While America's Test Kitchen rated this brush highly in their 2008 test, it is not the real thing and it does not hold up. One wonders how many uses ATK got out of it. And there's some serious, unfortunate and misleading name infringement going on here.
